An Introduction

By  |

KIDLanthropy™  is a special digital publication aimed at school children, to teach them philanthropy and empathy.

KIDLanthropy serves as a practical online tool to help Participants make the most of their School SleepOut, while inculcating a spirit of philanthropy which will serve them and benefit their greater communities in years to come.

KIDLanthropy offers advertising opportunities for Champions and Partners to make an impact in the hearts minds and of children.

Nelson Mandela once told us that “Our children are the rock on which our future will be built, our greatest asset as a nation. They will be the leaders of our country, the creators of our national wealth who care for and protect our people.”

Viewed from this perspective, the importance of helping our children develop a philanthropic mindset, and an empathetic heart set, is clear. The question is: how do we do this?

That’s what KIDLanthropy is all about. It’s an accessible resource that helps youth in Grades 6 to 12 understand not only why it’s crucial to become a socially active and aware citizen, but which also gives them ideas and avenues to do just this.

More than a simple blog, KIDLanthropy is a movement embracing Social Innovation.
